Up and Away

This was inspired by a wonderful hot air balloon ride that I enjoyed with my husband and son early one morning.

we soared quietly over the landscape outside of Sedona as the sun rose.

this roadway was used to take produce over to Prescott, some 40 plus miles away, by carriage.

what a view!

this painting was published for an article in Pastel Journal magazine.

I loved the warm earth, and the rich jewel toned shadows.
